That’s why OSU Medical Center’s Respiratory Therapy Department offers a comprehensive range of respiratory services, provided by licensed, respiratory care practitioners, skilled nurses and a board-certified pulmonologist. Respiratory Therapists help manage patients with breathing disorders by providing assessments, monitoring and physician-directed therapy as well as various diagnostic tests.
Our Respiratory Therapy Team is here around the clock, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Patients served by the Respiratory Therapy Department consists of neonatal patients, newborn, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients requiring respiratory testing, respiratory treatment or continuous ventilation.

Pulmonary Function Lab is a range of tests that measure how well the lungs take in and exhale air and how efficiently they transfer oxygen into the blood.

An EEG is a test that detects abnormalities in your brain waves or in the electrical activity of your brain. Electrodes are places on your scalp that detect tiny electrical charges that result from the activity of your brain cells. This is transmitted to paper that your healthcare provider will then evaluate. Different types of EEG test performed are:

Sleep-Deprived EEG
